Lauren Stacks is a writer, historical novelist, and avid reader. She is a displaced Midwesterner currently living in San Francisco, but spent her formative years in Chicago and small-town Michigan.
Lauren is a contributing editor at Chicago Review of Books. Other work has appeared in Grand Rapids Magazine, Grand Rapids Family Magazine, and in Time You Let Me In: 25 Poets Under 25, an anthology published by HarperCollins.
By day, Lauren is on staff at Northwestern University. By night, she’s a novelist currently seeking representation for two works of completed historical fiction. She received her MFA in creative writing from Roosevelt University, and BA in English from Hope College.
In 2016, Lauren was named a Creative Writing Fellow at the Luminarts Cultural Foundation through the Union League Club of Chicago.
